A colourful Suffragette inspired lavaliere necklace featuring a fabulous dropper that branches out into two leafy laurels at the top. It consists of a green square cut peridot, a violet pear cut amethyst and an array of twinkling white diamonds dotted across the dropper and each leaf.
The combination of gemstone colours was often used to show support for the women’s Suffrage movement which took place in the early 20th Century and symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes! Laurels were also a popular motif and used as a symbol of triumph and victory.
The pendant is a union of silver and 9ct yellow gold and is suspended from a fine 9ct chain, with a safety chain included at the clasp to hold it securely.
It’s a wonderful tribute to the movement and displays a colourful assortment of natural gemstones.
